Avery at 17 months

My how time flies..........I can't believe how fast the second child grows! Avery loves her big sis and mimicks her every move. It is so fun to watch, however, Alexandra does not think so. Avery is talking in complete sentences and is even reciting some colors and letters. It is amazing what they learn from their older sibling and from me working with her. Last night before I gave her a bath I told her if she needed to pee pee to go in the little potty. I didn't think anything of it and continued to get her bath ready. Alexandra came in and said "Avery went pee pee in the potty"!!! Sure enough I turned around and she did! I couldn't believe it. When she woke up this morning she tinkled in the potty, again. Not sure what to think about this but I will see what happends from here. We have really enjoyed watching her blossom.

Fall Carnival 2009

Wednesday night was Trunk or Treat at our church. There were lots of trunks, candy, and games to play. Also, there were bounce houses, food, and face painting! We had a fantastic time! The girls came away with lots of good candy. It was fun to see all of the kiddos dressed up in their costumes. Alexandra had a great time seeing all of her sunday school friends. She enjoyed her time with her cousins and her friend Gracie. Avery had a great time with her friend Hadi. Toby and I enjoyed watching the girls play the games and get excited when they got to pick out the candy. I can't believe out of all that candy the girls chose a sucker to eat before we left the carnival.

Pumpkin Patch

Wednesday Toby and I took the girls to a pumpkin patch. With all of the rain I was getting a little nervous we were not going to make it to one this year. We went to one close by the house and it was muddy! The girls had a great time running in the muddy hay maze until Avery fell. Avery was a trooper she got right back up, brushed it off, and finished the maze! They really enjoyed picking out their pumpkins and being outside in the mud!!

The family went to the Arboretum Saturday. We were actually meeting some friends there at 4:30. When we got there we were told that they close at 5:00. Oops...I always go early in the morning so I guess I never realized what time they closed. Toby, the girls, and I ran in and quickly shot some pictures of the girls!

Welcome Back, Sun!!

I am so grateful that the sun has decided to shine again! It has been crazy here with us not being able to go burn some energy off outside. Every since the sun and warmer weather has arrived we have taken advantage of the outdoors. We met up with some friends and went to the park yesterday. The kids had a great time as always!

On your mark, get set, GO.....

Crash...... not sure who won that one?? Good times!!

The Storm

Toby and I took the girls on a walk the other day thinking we would beat the storm that was headed our way. Alexandra rode her scooter and Avery rode in the wagon. We just went around the block which took about 15 minutes. By the time we got back to the house it was much cooler and there was no sun. Toby ran in and got the camera to take some pictures. The storm was moving so fast we didn't get many but the girls really enjoyed playing in the wind! We stayed out as long as we could and then it began raining!
