Little A

Avery gets the name "little a" from her dad. He calls Alexandra "Big A". "A" was at school today so "a" had me all to herself. We were in the playroom having a great time as always! Little a really enjoyed playing with the cube today. She even pushed the red button and made all the blocks fall to the floor. We were both very proud of her. She is growing so fast. She has been sitting up for a few weeks now. She is working on crawling! She has a great personality just like her big sister.

So many toys what do I do?

Happy girl!!

Hadassah and Avery

Today Keli and Hadassah came over for a playdate. Keli has been my best friend since we were little bity. It was fun to watch our little girls play together! It brought back lots of memories and time flew by as we reminisced about the good ol days. We hope to take our girls shopping like our moms took us when we were young. Avery and I look forward to more playdates with Hadi and Keli!

More Matagorda

Matagorda was a blast. It was warm when we first got there just like we expected. The first night, a cold front came in and it got very windy and cold. It didn't matter much. We bundled up when we went out and we had fun indoors at night

Whale Snot!! Alexandra thought the sea foam was something more. I don't suppose Toby had anything to do with that.

Alexandra taking her first look ever at the ocean. She wasn't quite sure exactly how far she could venture in.

Avery trying to figure it all out.

I want to see into the future...

Matagorda

We went to Matagorda for the weekend with the family. 8 HOURS IN THE CAR WITH 2 KIDS!! What were we thinking, right? The girls actually did very well. Thank God for in-car videos. They save the world.

Avery had a really good time. She slept a little at the beginning, but she kicked around alot.
Alexandra....well the picture speaks for itself.

Here is the place where we stayed. It was on stilts with a storage area under the living quarters.
Decent view of the ocean. You walked the mesquito and sticker infested path to the beach. You were safe once you made it over the hill.

DD, YaYa, Alexandra, and Avery on the beach. It was surprisingly cold.

THE WAVES ARE COMING!!

Alexandra was so excited to be on the beach she was jumping right out of the water.

Little mommy

This morning while I was rocking Avery to sleep for her nap, Alexandra decided to rock one of her babies to sleep, too. We even brought Alexandra's rocking chair in Avery's room and put it next to my rocking chair. Alexandra got the biggest smile on her face as we were rocking our babies to sleep together! Of course, this made me smile and melted my heart. I was looking at Alexandra remembering when she was Avery's age and I was rocking her to sleep. It amazes me how fast they grow and how much they admire you!

Build a Moose

We got a flyer in the mail from Build a Bear! Alexandra saw all of the fun dressed up animals and wanted to go get one of her own. So the family decided to go today! Alexandra wanted the mom and dad moose. Of course, when we walk in there on display all dressed up are mom and dad moose. Alexandra picked mom and dad moose (one for her and one for Avery) and got in line to stuff them. The line was fairly long it being Saturday. While Toby, Avery, and I stood in line Alexandra decided to go shopping for mom moose. She has great taste like her Nana! She has to make sure everything matches even with her own wardrobe. She patiently waited in line and finally got her mom moose stuffed. Then she went on to do all the other musts at build a bear. We all had a great time! It was fun watching Alexandra make her mom moose her new best friend. Avery had a great time, too!! Dad was such a great sport!

Photo Shoot

Here are some awesome pictures of the girls! My good friend Jennifer Johnston and her boys came over for a playdate. She also came prepared to take some snapshots of the girls. She was so excited because she has always taken pictures of boys! She had so much fun and it showed in the pictures. We are so grateful that she was able to do this for us. The older kids did a wonderful job staying preoccupied while Jennifer and I entertained Avery.

Strike a Pose

Alexandra came up with these poses herself. She even told me when to take the picture! We had a lot of fun!!!

Halloween Extravaganza at the Harbor

We had a great time at the Harbor with the cousins! There were lots of things to do. First, the girls umped and slid on some bounce houses. When they had enough of that they were off to the games for the candy! They got to golf, bowl, throw frizbees through hoops, spray water guns, and much much more. The pictures are not in the order I wanted them to be.

The first picture you see here is how the night ended. We had one more stop on the way home but had to pass it up because Alexandra fell asleep.

We don't know who this is but she posed for a picture.
Thought all you Starbucks lovers would enjoy this one!
