Pajama Day at School

Yesterday was Pajama Day at Alexandra's school. What a great day to have it! When school was over we stayed a little longer with some friends and played in an indoor playroom. On the way home Alexandra requested some hot chocolate and cookies. So that is exactly what we did. Alexandra helped make chocoate chip cookies and hot chocolate. To make time go by faster we played with two remote control cars while the snacks were cooking. In no time at all, the cookies and hot chocolate were ready and Alexandra and I sat at the table and enjoyed them! Avery had a great time too!

Little A

I can't believe Avery will be 8 months in a few days. She is growing so fast! She has started to crawl which is new for us because Alexandra skipped crawling and went straight to walking. Avery is not a fluent crawler yet but she is able to move and get what she wants in her reach. I am sure it will not take her long to start crawling across the room. Avery loves to clap and wave at people. I think she is going to have the same personality as her big sister. Avery loves her big sister and has already began wanting everything her big sister has. Here are some fun pictures of her discovering crawling.

Avery is not drinking from a sippy cup, she just wants to be like big sissy!

Avery's Dedication

This morning our church had Parent/Baby Dedication. We were so blessed and thankful to have family and friends witness it as well. Avery looked very beautiful in her "prom gown" per the preacher. This was the same gown Alexandra wore in her Christening. After the church service, we went back to the house for a celebration! Here are some pictures of family and friends that celebrated with us today! A big special thank you to those who helped make this day more special!!

Future Prom King and Queen

We were so excited to have Cade and Kenslea over for a playdate last week! Cade and Alexandra immediately began playing as soon as Cade walked in the door. Kenslea and Avery had a great time nursing and napping while Meredith and I got some good visit time! We look forward to seeing them Sunday for Avery's dedication. Meredith got pictures of the baby girls and I snapped this photo of the big kids. What a sweet pair!

Build a Bunny and Monkey

We were so excited to see the Valentine Build A Bear coupons in the mail. Alexandra looked at the flyer immediately and found the bunny she wanted. I was so glad to hear she didn't want clothes for this bunny (yeah right). We were so glad Nana came with us this time. She was a great help. Thanks Nana!! Alexandra remembered the drill from last time. She was so excited to pick out her bunny. There was a long line because we went on a Sunday after church. Leave it to Alexandra to take advantage of her time. As Avery and I stood in line Nana and Alexandra went shopping for clothes. Alexandra came back with clothes and I reminded her that she didn't want any this time. She said " oh mommy that was silly, bunny and monkey have to have clothes." I just smiled. She makes my heart melt all the time. She is such a great big sister she even gave monkey a bath for Avery. Avery was so proud of her sister for helping her. We look forward to getting the next batch of coupons! Yea, for Build A Bear. We had a wonderful time like always.

Toby's Birthday

Alexandra wanted to get her dad a cake for his birthday! She loves celebrating birthdays. After she got out of school, I took her to the store to search for a birthday cake. She had such a great time! She said "mom we need candles for daddy's cake." I was glad she remembered to get the candles. When we got home we put up some decorations and made him a card. Then it was a waiting game. When we heard the garage door open, we turned off all the lights and lite the candles on the cake. He walked into a dark house with a fire burning as we yelled out SURPIRSE!! Avery was taking a nap but woke up just in time to celebrate with us. Alexandra couldn't wait to cut into the cake. It was a great celebration!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DADDY!!!!!

Waiting for daddy to come in.

SURPRISE!!!!!

Babies in Bumbos

The girls and I had a playdate at Chick-Fil-A today! We met our neighbor. She has a two and a half year old son that plays well with Alexandra and her daughter is two weeks younger than Avery. We were laughing at ourselves walking in Chick-Fil-A. We each were carrying a baby in one arm, and a diaper bag, bumbo, purse and a toddler on the other side. I am sure we looked like we were moving in! Here are some photos of the girls having fun. The other kids were wearing themselves out on the playground. We all had a great time!

Girls Just Want to Have Fun!

Alexandra and Avery were having fun playing this morning and I got some pictures to share.

I really miss my camera. I should be getting it back tomorrow. Today Holly and I took the girls to see Bedtime Stories. It was a great movie! When we got home Alexandra decided she wanted to go to the park. As everyone was getting ready, Avery fell Asleep. Toby and Alexandra decided they would go ahead and go. She said when Avery got through with her nap we could join them. I was so glad because I would love to spend time outside before it gets cold!! Ooops I hear them coming in I guess Avery's nap was a little too long!
