Bluebonnets 2010

Last week Jana and I took the kids for a bluebonnet photo shoot! We were told about a place in or near Farmersville off of 78. We originally were going to go to Plano but thought this was closer so we went for it. There were snippets of bluebonnets on our journey to this place others had experienced. We kept driving and driving and finally found a huge patch along side the road past Farmersville. The kids had a wonderful time running, falling, and playing in the bluebonnets. It was tough to take pictures because it was on a hill on the side of the road. So trying to keep up with two kids, climbing a hill, and taking pictures was a little challenging for me, lol! I got a couple of good pictures of the girls. We finally got the kids attention when we suggested lunch at Chik-fil-A. What a great morning playdate! I LOVE making fun memories with my girls!!

A bird, A bird

Finally, we have birds eating at our birdhouse. The girls are so excited!! Patience has finally paid off! One day the girls were sitting at the table and I was getting things ready for dinner. All of the sudden, Avery yells out "a bird, a bird". I ran over there and sure enough there was a bird on our birdhouse eating! The girls squealed and off the bird flew. I hope the bird got full before he was scared off by my girls screams. It is so fun to have outside visitors at our house for breakfast! We enjoy watching the birds throughout the day enjoy our birdhouse.

Kindergarten Round-Up

Last Tuesday Alexandra and I went to Kindergarten round up! I still am not believing that she is starting K in August. When we first arrived Alexandra went to the library and played with her future friends in K. She knew quiet a few kids from Weekday School. The parents then went to the cafateria for the presentation part of the evening. There I got to meet all the K teachers. They gave us a run down of their day. I am very excited about the activities Alexandra will be experiencing throughout the day! It is a lot like how I taught. I know she will LOVE it!! After the presentation, it was time for Alexandra to go meet the K teachers and look at the classrooms. They were all so fun and child centered!

I remember seeing the moms at the Boo Hoo party once they dropped their child off at school for the first time. I thought what in the world, these moms are crazy??!! I didn't understand what was going through their minds but now I totally get it. Being a teacher, has made this process very comfortable for me because I have been there and know what to expect. My baby girl is growing way to fast! I will definitely be at the Boo Hoo party after I drop her off the first day of school. Who would of thought?????

Avery

Last Thursday, Avery and I met some good friends at The Arboretum. The Dallas Blooms are going on and the flowers were breathtaking. Avery and Casen had such a great time exploring and chasing the birds. Leah and I got a good workout chasing the kids and enjoyed watching them have fun! You will notice in the first few pictures Avery has a bow in her hair. Sometime between pictures Avery decided she didn't want to wear the bow anymore so she threw it somewhere. The windy day did not help keep her hair out of her face.

Jewel Park

One of my friends in the neighborhood told me about this park nearby, I will say it is the funnest park for my girls and me! There are activities for all ages and the best part a HUGE sand area. It is like being at the beach, I love it!!! My niece Ariana is here visiting for a while. The girls are having a blast and I will say I enjoy having 3 girls. We have been spending a lot of time outside because the weather has been amazing. Here are some fun pictures of the girls at this fun park. They can't wait to go back there and play!

Happy Easter!

This year we were excited to celebrate Easter with my sister-in-law and my neice. We all went to church and then headed to Caddo to mom and dad's house. We ate a delicious lunch and then the girls had a fun Easter Egg Hunt. It was great visiting with eveyone and having a lazy day!

Sunday School Easter Egg Hunt

Last Sunday we met our Sunday School class at the park for our Annual Easter Egg Hunt! It was a beautiful day but very windy. The girls had a wonderful time. This was Avery's first Easter Egg Hunt. She had a fun time. When she found an egg she picked it up and immediately opened it to get the prize inside. Alexandra on the other hand, ran around scooping the eggs up! Toby and I enjoyed watching the girls and visiting with friends from our class!
