Fun times with friends
Sunday afternoon we had the Timmerman's over for a playdate. Natalie and I decided we should get together on Sunday afternoons since both of our husbands work. We had them over for dinner and play. All the kids had a great time and it gave Natalie and I time to catch up on life. We really enjoyed it and look forward to going to their house next Sunday. I am so glad we decided to do this.

Fall 2009 at The Arboretum
Yesterday we went to the Arboretum with some friends. They have Mommy and Me Days on Mondays. The flowers were beautiful and the pumpkins made it feel like Fall. There were plenty activites for the girls to do. We got there when it opened so we could get pictures of the kids and still have time to get in line for face painting! We had a picnic and then petted the animals at the mini petting zoo. The weather was cool and stayed that way until we left. It was fun to watch the kids run around and soak up the beautiful sights. It was hard to decided what pictures to share because I took so many! Enjoy!

Here are some candid pictures of the girls. They play so well together! Avery is talking up a store and repeats everything everyone says. She tries to do everything Alexandra does and it is so fun to watch. Alexandra continues to grow so fast and amazes me everyday.

Slumber Party at The Braaten's
Toby is out of the state competing at a motorcycle competition for work so I planned a lot of activities to keep us busy while "daddy" is gone. Friday night we went to Meredith's house to stay the night! I was excited because this brought back memories from when Meredith and I had our own slumber parties. My favorite part was the brownies we would snack on before we went to bed. We had such a wonderful time! Meredith is a great cook and it is always a treat to eat at her house. First, when we got to Meredith's we went to My Gym. They were having an open house and Elmo was making an appearance. Of course, the big kids wanted to have their picture taken with Elmo but the little ones not so much. They all had a great time running, bouncing, climbing and playing at My Gym! Then we headed back to the house to eat lunch and play. The kiddos did a great job posing while Meredith took pictures of them! All the kids got a long so well. They were fun to watch! Thanks Meredith for the amazing home cooking and company! Oops Meredith, we forgot those brownies.....maybe next time!

A morning at the pond and park
This morning after we dropped Alexandra off at weekday school, Avery and I went to the park with some friends. The moms got their walk in and the kiddos got to play afterwards. On our walk we stopped at the pond and saw some turtles. Further into our walk we saw a snake cross our path. I stopped in my tracks and Natalie kept going so Doak could see the snake! Once we finished our walk we took the little ones to play on the playground! We all had a great time and look forward to a repeat next week!
