Disney on Ice

Thursday night was girls night out with the family. We went to Disney on ice. The girls were so excited!! They dressed up in some of their disney gowns. First, Nana let the girls pick out a souviner(thanks Nana). Alexandra got an Ariel cup with a snowcone in it(what a mess that was) and Avery(who stayed home with Daddy, Papa, and Uncle Joel) got a Flounder hat with cotton candy (which I ate, mmmm...goood)! When we sat down in the seats we discovered we were in arms reach of the ice. I was just as excited if not more than the girls. We saw Mickey and Minnie, Donald and Daisy, and we can't forget Goofy. They went on a world tour and we saw a short version of the movies The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Lilo and Stitch, and Peter Pan. Alexandra's favorite was The Little Mermaid. She is in love with Eric. She wanted to dance with them. Alexandra was amazed when Eric and Ariel stopped in front of us and she yelled "Eric" he turned to her and waved and she was in awe. I did not capture that moment with my camera because the battery was gone by then. Alexandra made the comment to Nana that this place was fun! I am glad she enjoyed it. It was an awesome show and I highly reccomend it to any adult and child! Our next family trip is to an ice skating rink so Alexandra can skate.

Snapshots

The weather has been so beautiful this week! Alexandra is a little sad that she does not have school this week but has loved spending time in this awesome weather. We are getting the back yard ready for summer. We found a cool sandbox that Alexandra absolutely loves. (thanks Meredith)! Alexandra is looking forward to some other fun activites we have planned for this week. Stay tuned for pictures of the exciting events.

Fashion Diva! I love it when Alexandra dresses herself (no, she did not wear the leggings and shoes out of the house).

These are the plants that Alexandra and Avery planted about a month ago.
They both enjoy watering and watching them grow!

Dallas Booms at the Arboretum

Today we went to the Dallas Arboretum with some friends from church. Thanks Jana and Natalie we had such a great time!!! The girls had a really good time walking around holding hands, touching, and smelling all the beautiful flowers. We could not have asked for better weather. Monday's are Mommy and Me Days. There was a petting zoo, storytelling, face painting, kindermusic, and lots of other activities for the kids to do. While we were waiting in line for face painting, (1hour and still did not make it to the front of the line) we ate lunch, listened to music, and danced. There were also lots of pirate ships for the kids to explore. It did not take much to wear the kids out! I wore Avery and she had a fantastic time pointing and talking about the beautiful sights. She took a long nap once we got home.

Planting Flowers for Spring

The girls and I went to Corinth to spend the day with good friends of ours. When we got there she had a great project for the kids to work on. She bought some flower pots, painted them, and put the kids name on them. Everyone had a great time especialy playing in the potting soil. The weather was so beautiful we just hung out in the sun. We can't wait until spring gets here. It is fun to watch Alexandra get excited about the plants growing. We have stems growing in both the girls flower pots. Alexandra is learning how to take care of plants and does a great job!! She gets so excited everytime she waters them because she knows they will grow a little bit everyday. Thanks Jennifer for such a wonderful treat. We look forward to getting together again for another fun day.

Little Avery at 9 months

Avery is 9 months now. She is a pro crawler! Her new crawl is on her hands and feet. She continues to pull up on everything she can. Avery babbles mama, dada, tata, bye bye, hi, yaya, nana, papa, and some other sounds. She enjoys waving, clapping, screamming, and squealing. Her favorite thing to play is peekaboo. Alexandra still has her touch on making her laugh the longest. Avery loves to play in the playroom with Alexandra. She loves to mimick everything Alexandra does. Avery finally pulled in her two bottom teeth. When she is not sleeping she has some kind of mission and she doesn't stop until her next nap. She is growing to fast but we enjoy watching every minute of it. Here are some fun snapshots of her. Enjoy!!

Happy 4th Birthday Alexandra!

Yesterday was Alexandra's 4th birthday! It started off with some donuts. Toby took Alexandra to the donut store in her pajama's and slippers. She had such a great time talking to everyone and eating her chocolate donuts. When she came home, it was off to get her haircut and nails painted! After lots of running around it was time to go home and decorate the house for the party. Soon after we finished friends and family showed up. We played lots of games, ate lots of sugar, and had a wonderful time! Thank you all for sharing this special day with us. We are so blessed to have such great family and friends.
