Merry Christmas!!!!

We celebrate Christmas Eve at my Mema's with the family. This is a tradition that we have had since I was a little girl. I am very lucky and grateful that the tradition continues with my girls. Santa has come to visit us for the past 3 years at Mema's house. The girls get so excited to see Santa and the special first gift they get for Christmas! Alexandra and Avery loved sitting with Sanat and loved their first gift. Alexandra got a Liana doll and Avery got the DVD Sleeping Beauty. When Alexandra first saw Santa she told him she wanted the Liana doll. Her expressions and excitiment when he gave her the gift was priceless. Avery did an awesome job it being her first time with Santa! After Santa left we ate and opened more gifts.

Next, we go to Nana and Papa's to visit before going home. Here are a few pictures of them having fun at Nana's.

Now off to our house to put out Santa's cookies and eggnog!

Family Portrait

Okay. So maybe I'm getting sentimental. I guess kids have that effect on you. I was up in the playroom with Alexandra. Jennifer and Avery were downstairs. Alexandra was drawing something on her doodle pad. She kept erasing it and telling me I couldn't look yet because it was a surprise. She worked on it for about 10 minutes and had to start over at least a dozen times. When she finished, she showed me her picture of the family. I was absolutely blown away. From left to right you have Alexandra, Jennifer, Me, and Avery.

Early Christmas gift????

When Toby got home from work he found a big present on the floor! He wanted to wait until Christmas to open it but I insisted he open it now. Can you guess what it is?

?????????????

It is Alexandra!!! She got out the wrapping paper before daddy got home and wanted to be wrapped to surprise him. He was so surprised when Alexandra sat up!

Now it was daddy's turn to be wrapped by Alexandra. This game lasted a while.

Alexandra was having so much fun wrapping daddy that it didn't bother her that there was not enough paper to cover him.

Christmas Caroling

Well, the fun was called off. We called the lady we were supposed to visit with and she is going to be unavailable. She has some medical issues that she has to address, but we are going to go visit with her in a week or so. Oh well...maybe next year.

Christmas Caroling

I have not been Christmas caroling since I was in middle school with my church. I remember sitting on hey on a trailer going around town singing. We have the opportunity to go Christmas caroling with my brother's family to a shutin at our church this evening. We will be singing Jingle Bells, Jesus loves me, and We wish you a Merry Christmas. These were the songs the girls already knew so we went with those. We are also taking hot chocolate and cookies while we visit for a bit. I am not taking pictures but wanted to share the exciting news!!

Here are some Christmas pictures of the girls.

Beautiful Day

Today we took a walk around the block not once but twice. Alexandra took her baby and I took Avery. Alexandra enjoyed picking flowers (weeds) and handing them to her baby.

Parent Peek In at Alexandra's Dance Class

Tonight was Parent Peek In at Alexandra's dance class. The whole family went and Alexandra was so excited her daddy was there. You know the kids in a choir who wave and scream out to their parents? Yes, that is Alexandra!! The entire audience enjoyed her enthusiasum so much. I had a couple of parents come to me and tell me how much they enjoyed her. She had so much fun! It was good to be back in a dance class again to see what Alexandra was learning. She is learning so much beyond dance moves. We got to see how they walk like a lady, have patience, respect each other, and most importantly listen. At the end of the show they presented each dancer with a beautiful ballerina and talked about the dancer. They said the best word that described her was joyful. They said she was so full of energy everytime she walked through the door. They are on break now until the end of the year and then they will put the moves to a dance routine for the recitle in the Spring. Here are a few pictures of what we experienced this evening. WE are so proud of you Alexandra!!!
